If you have noticed, every Denver Neighborhood wants to have access to Cherry Creek.  Why? Posh, stylish, cutting edge, avant-garde, and simply spectacular is what you think of when someone mentions Cherry Creek.  Aesthetics are a must, scenic beauty a given and elegance is just what Cherry Creek offers to all of Denver. From black tie soirees to the Chilly Cheeks Duathlon, Cherry Creek has a richly colorful palate of offerings for the busy professional, the growing family and the world traveler who keeps a loft in Cherry Creek while sailing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Cherry Creek is one of a kind.  It is considered Denver’s premier shopping and dining neighborhood and is just five minutes to downtown.  It is the largest and most vibrant shopping destination between Chicago and San Fran. All of Denver comes here to shop exclusive shops and the area boasts 320 independently owned stores, boutiques, galleries, restaurants and day spas.

So, if you want 16 blocks of shopping bliss look no further.  Stores, including Neiman Marcus, Tiffany, Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren, all border the exquisitely tree lined streets, lavish parks and cornucopia gardens known as Cherry Creek.  Beautiful public areas add to the charm and the stature of the neighborhood as you hop form one chic outdoor café to another sumptuous bakery and then top it off with the best Italian coffee on the continent with friends and family.

But if you are not in a shopping mood, then tackle the 25 mile Cherry Creek Bike Path which connects to downtown and beyond creating the perfect route for an afternoon ride or a dazzling morning run.

Cherry Creek is an upscale, dynamic pedestrian neighborhood where exquisite ultra-modern, luxury townhomes co-exist with charming, tree-enclosed bungalows. Residents can jog, ride their bicycles and roller blade along the creek and then sample the fare of a wide range of award winning restaurants all along the way.

Then, if your credit card is maxed out from shopping at Anthropologie, you have the Cherry Creek SneakDespite the rain, Denver runners take to the streets for the Cherry Creek Sneak.  Five and ten mile races through the Cherry Creek neighborhood are made for the running devotees.  When you are done, you can collapse in a booth at the Cherry Cricket.  Chefs love the Cricket.  Softball teams, musicians, “Creekers”, all versions of nighttime creatures and friendly neighbors love the Cricket. Why? Because the Cherry Cricket is a classic burgers-and-beer joint where the company is great, the coolers are always fully stocked and the big burger...well...take our word for it, the burger is cosmic.

But, if you are not in the mood for a burger, then Ondo’s Spanish Tapas Bar on Steel Street is for all the tapas enthusiasts.  Drop down into this subterranean space on a Monday and all bottles of wine are 50 percent off.  And, true to form, True Food Kitchen grabs the health-boosting aficionado, follows the anti-inflammatory food philosophy of Dr. Andrew Weil and as a result, its menu is free of most things butter and fat but still full of inventive options.

Before your mouth over waters and you and your partner look at the clock and discover it is nearly 9pm and you are still looking at your eatery options and just simply cannot make up you mind, lets talk about the history of Cherry Creek.  The neighborhood is located near the geographic center of the City and County of Denver and is a mixture of dense urban development and tree lined residential streets. And there is innovative new construction going on with new luxury high-rise condo’s being built and a stylish new boutique hotel going in.

Two major commercial centers exist in Cherry Creek along the major traffic route. First is an upscale, enclosed shopping mall, the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, which anchors the neighborhood. Second, the main shopping district of Cherry Creek North is also located in the hub of Cherry Creek and surrounded by chic residential living.

The neighborhood takes its name from the nearby Cherry Creek running along the south side of the neighborhood. Denver was first settled along the confluence of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek. Four major traffic arteries service Cherry Creek, making it an easily accessible neighborhood by car or a bike for that matter.

You will relish the Cherry Creek North Ice Rink (in winter) and the historical Tattered Cover Bookstore remains iconic for all avid readers who can sip wine and listen to lectures by your favorite best selling authors.  The Cherry Creek neighborhood is home to the Ross-Cherry Creek branch of the Denver Public Library and home to Manley and Pulaski Parks, the Cherry Creek Bike Path, and the East Seventh Avenue Parkway.

There are approximately 6,000 people living in the Cherry Creek area, 3,200 households, where the median age is 50. Families and professionals abound in this richly eclectic demographic.

But, no matter your age, you are inundated with opportunity living in Cherry Creek.  You can wile away the hours at the nearby and extraordinarily beautiful Denver Botanical Gardens while you spread you picnic blanket out on the lawn to listen to Sheryl Crow perform on the outdoor state or watch a late summer classic movie on the lawns after viewing the extraterrestrial installation in the gardens by Dale Chihuly.

You will loose track of you life altogether at Elitch Gardens, the Denver Zoo where you can meet the new Clouded Leopard or stroll the outrageous Denver Art Museum designed by Italian Architect Gio Ponti.  The Denver Art Museum is one of the largest art museums between Chicago and the West Coast, with a collection of more than 70,000 works of art divided between 10 permanent collections.

But those with kids need look no further since there is no better way to spend a Saturday than the Children’s Museum of DenverAt the Children's Museum of Denver they believe in kid-powered learning and Ocean Journey at the Aquarium, with it’s famous lovable Otters, will keep you occupied till sundown, especially in the winter.  And there is no Broadway play you cannot see at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, all just minutes from Cherry Creek.

After hours, Elway’s will suit you whether you don a suit or not.  Elway's was born out of the friendship between John Elway, of NFL Denver Bronco’s fame, and partner Tim Schmidt: Both wanted to create a comfortable gathering place that elevated Colorado dining. Elway's now has four locations, but the original in Cherry Creek remains the flagship for an all-out, white-tablecloth steak dinner experience.

And for that casual business meeting, Perfect Eats is a charming little lunch haunt, which is a great spot if you're in the market for a fresh salad with sandwich on just-baked bread. Denver's elevated namesake "The 5280," couples sliced beef tenderloin, savory balsamic caramelized onions and country mustard on a fresh hot rustic baguette.

For three days during the July 4th holiday weekend since 1991, Colorado's signature cultural event, The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is presented in Denver's Cherry Creek
North. This is no ordinary festival.  People flock from all over the world to this one festival. The arts festival is not only a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts and enjoys an annual attendance of 350,000 visitors, but the largest in the nation.  The Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the mission to provide art education and outreach programs in local area schools all year round.

And speaking of great schools, the Cherry Creek School District provides safe, intellectually stimulating schools from public to private and is one of the highest-achieving school districts in the state. The district serves more than 54,000 children and more 300,000 residents in 108 square miles. 98% of Cherry Creek Schools rank in the highest category of Accreditation by the Colorado Department of Education.

So, I think we can safely say that this is a neighborhood with everything you want at your fingertips, for your kids, your business and your heart.  Cherry Creek is not only a destination getaway, but if you can call it home, well, you will never need to leave.
